Position Overview

The Security Officer role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of key locations, employees, vendors, visitors, and the general public. We are seeking Security Officers for full-time, part-time, and flexible positions across various shifts, including day, night, swing, and graveyard shifts, with weekend availability required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a visible security presence to identify and deter potential threats.
  • Conduct various patrols—fixed-post, mobile, or foot—while maintaining situational awareness and adhering to established protocols.
  • Act as the first line of defense against active threats, trespassers, and unauthorized individuals.
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may pose security or safety risks.
  • Manage access control and monitor entrances, exits, perimeters, and surrounding areas.
  • Oversee vehicular and pedestrian traffic through roving patrols, including traffic control as necessary.
  • Identify, report, and address violations of rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a professional environment that emphasizes customer service while ensuring safety and security.
  • Work independently and adapt to varying work paces while consistently demonstrating attentiveness and energy.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement, fire departments, military units, and government agencies.
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of threats, risks, and vulnerabilities at assigned locations.
  • Exercise sound judgment and flexibility in response to shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response actions.
  • Respond to and document all security incidents.
  • Perform additional tasks and special assignments as directed by management or clients.
Qualifications
  • Provide credible references and I-9 Employment Eligibility Documentation.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned locations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Positive attitude and punctuality.
  • Ownership of a smartphone for scheduling and timekeeping.
  • Experience in CPR, first aid, firefighting, and crowd control is preferred but not mandatory.
