Fire Alarm Systems Technician

At Koorsen Fire & Security Inc., we are dedicated to excellence in the fire and security sector. We are seeking skilled Fire Alarm Installation Technicians to enhance our elite team. If you possess the expertise and are ready to take on new challenges, we want to hear from you.
Compensation: $20 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Install fire alarm systems and their components to guarantee optimal performance.
- Follow technical drawings for the installation of fire alarm systems and related devices.
- Educate clients on the operation of their fire alarm systems.
- Maintain professional interactions with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Exhibit a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Comply with all company policies and core values.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required:
- Valid Indiana State Fire Alarm license.
- At least 1 year of experience in fire alarm system installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and specifications.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment.
- Successful completion of drug and background checks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Compliance with state licensing and vendor certification requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- Experience in Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security systems.
- Certifications from fire alarm manufacturers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of IT systems.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Proficient use of mobile devices and applications.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull over 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate man lifts.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Engagement in activities requiring talking, hearing, standing, walking, and reaching.
- Completion of the I-9 Verification form is mandatory within three days of employment.
- Background checks will be conducted, including criminal records and driving history.
- A urinalysis test for substance abuse will be required if an offer of employment is extended.
