Position Overview
The Fire Extinguisher Technician is responsible for the thorough inspection, testing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers and other fire safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and maintenance on fire extinguishers and suppression systems.
- Stay informed about NFPA codes and standards to ensure compliance.
- Engage with clients to identify new business opportunities for fire safety services.
- Deliver timely and high-quality service to established customers.
- Maintain organized and efficient work practices.
- Document all service activities accurately and promptly.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
- Strive for high productivity and quality in all tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using personal computers and software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with testing equipment including multi-meters and analyzers.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in various physical positions.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in typical construction environments.
- Availability for a full-time schedule, including potential overtime.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet client requirements.
