Position Overview

The Fire Extinguisher Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems. This position involves the inspection, testing, maintenance, and installation of portable fire extinguishers and related safety equipment, adhering to all relevant fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of fire extinguishers and suppression systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to promote fire safety services.
  • Perform timely inspections for existing clients while upholding high-quality standards.
  • Maintain organized and efficient work practices.
  • Document all service activities accurately and comprehensively.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strive for high productivity and efficiency.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of testing equipment such as multi-meters and analyzers.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in various physical positions.
  • Willingness to work in diverse environments, primarily indoors, similar to construction settings.
  • Availability for a full-time schedule, including potential overtime and travel as needed.
