Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager for our Fire Protection division. This role is pivotal in overseeing the estimation and management of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating various trades to ensure successful project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimate, negotiate, and oversee fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression projects.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, contract documents, and project specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Manage fabrication listings and material procurement.
  • Facilitate coordination among trades for seamless project delivery.
  • Lead a team of designers focused on fire protection initiatives.
  • Participate in job meetings and comprehensively understand project requirements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with all project documentation, specifications, and drawings.
  • Oversee the timely preparation of submittal drawings and calculations by the design team.
  • Assist in the accurate and timely submission of estimates and change order proposals.
  • Coordinate project scheduling and timelines with clients.
  • Develop and maintain project design, inventory, delivery, and installation schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with purchasing and fabrication teams to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Support accounting with billing processes.
  • Organize and lead communication and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation, verify completion, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Track project progress to ensure it remains on schedule and within budget.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-driven with a commitment to high productivity standards.
  • Strong technical proficiency with computers.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Experience in designing and managing diverse project types.
  • Effective communicator in both written and verbal formats.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Positive demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding multitasking and project management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
