Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager for our Fire Protection division. This role is crucial in overseeing the execution of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage estimates for fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression projects.
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and manage fabrication listings.
  • Facilitate coordination among various trades to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lead a team of designers dedicated to fire protection initiatives.
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Review all project documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely preparation of submittal drawings and calculations by the design team.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish project timelines and schedules.
  • Maintain a detailed project schedule for design, stock listing, delivery, and installation.
  • Communicate effectively with purchasing and fabrication teams to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Assist the accounting department with billing processes.
  • Organize and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and compliance with design specifications.
  • Track project progress to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to high productivity standards.
  • Strong technical computer skills.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
  • Experience in designing and managing diverse project types.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as necessary.
