Position Overview

Brown Neurology is on the lookout for a skilled and adaptable Medical Secretary to enhance our operational efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring that our healthcare facility operates seamlessly, providing both administrative and clinical support. The ideal candidate will engage with patients and healthcare professionals regularly, necessitating outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating patient flow by welcoming and managing check-in/check-out processes.
  • Preparing examination areas and adhering to daily sanitation protocols.
  • Recording and monitoring vital signs accurately.
  • Ensuring that all pertinent reports, laboratory results, and information are accessible in patients' medical files before appointments.
  • Coordinating post-visit laboratory tests and assessments.
  • Managing patient care documentation, including charts, tests, and examination findings.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned by the supervising staff.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in an outpatient healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional patient care and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); experience with eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
  • Current immunization records are mandatory.
  • Willingness to undergo a background screening is required.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is necessary.
