About the Role

HopeHealth is looking for a skilled Clinical Administrative Assistant to support our hospice and palliative care services.

The Clinical Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and efficient environment for patient care. This position serves as a vital link among patients, healthcare providers, and various departments, ensuring effective communication and comprehensive management of patient records.

This is a part-time role, requiring 24 hours per week, with eligibility for benefits. The working hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responds to inquiries from callers, directing them to the appropriate personnel, and conveys messages with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Manages the ordering, cancellation, and modification of durable medical equipment (DME) supplies as needed by the care team.
  • Maintains and disseminates daily patient census information, oversees the patient tracking board, prepares charts for new patients, and engages with families, vendors, and healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is accurate and complete prior to scanning into the electronic medical record (EMR).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with additional specialized training.
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or completion of a secretarial program.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
