Position Overview

Brown Neurology is on the lookout for a skilled and adaptable Medical Assistant/Receptionist to enhance their operational team. This role encompasses a variety of administrative and clinical tasks essential for the efficient functioning of the healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will engage with patients and healthcare professionals on a daily basis, necessitating outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating patient flow by welcoming and managing the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Preparing examination rooms and ensuring adherence to daily sanitation protocols.
  • Collecting and documenting vital signs accurately.
  • Verifying that all pertinent reports, laboratory results, and information are accessible in patients' medical records prior to their appointments.
  • Coordinating post-visit laboratory tests and assessments.
  • Managing patient care plans, documentation, test results, and examination findings within the medical records.
  • Executing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in an outpatient healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional patient care and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), familiarity with eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
  • Up-to-date immunization records are mandatory.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check is required.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite.
