Position Overview

The Senior Business Analyst serves as a pivotal business authority, bridging the gap between the IT development team and various business units to facilitate the development, enhancement, and deployment of both new and existing systems. This role is also responsible for delivering data and reporting solutions that fulfill the informational and performance metrics requirements for one or more business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation to clients, identifying and addressing their business needs.
  • Analyze comprehensive business processes and information requirements of varying complexities, covering one or more functional operations of the company and potentially external entities.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the client's current and future business landscape, effectively anticipating, identifying, and meeting all business needs.
  • Propose, assess, and document alternatives that offer the most effective solutions to resolve business challenges, including the delivery of new business initiatives.
  • Anticipate client inquiries and concerns, delivering timely, professional, and client-focused communications through meetings, status reports, phone calls, and emails, while ensuring follow-through on results.
  • Prepare communications and deliver presentations regarding system enhancements and alternatives.
  • Support clients in the effective utilization of production systems.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and client organizations as necessary to ensure seamless system operations, minimizing disruptions to business operations and enabling the achievement of business results.
  • Define and document business requirements.
  • Develop business cases to support business initiatives.
  • Prepare and/or review test plans and conduct quality assessments on test outcomes.
  • Adhere to SOX documentation and other standard process requirements as necessary.
  • Conduct all work safely and promote safe work practices, attending all safety meetings and training sessions, and complying with all safety best practices.
  • Demonstrate participation in projects of medium to high complexity, taking on leadership roles as required.
  • Exhibit expert technical knowledge in one or more functional areas of client business applications, such as CC&B, SAP, etc., and possess project management skills sufficient to coordinate multi-organizational projects.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA preferred.
  • Completion of coursework and/or training in programming languages utilized for client applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related roles.
