Role Summary
The Lead Business Systems Analyst serves as the primary business authority, bridging the gap between the IT development team and various business units to facilitate the creation, enhancement, and deployment of both new and existing systems. This role is also responsible for delivering data and reporting solutions that fulfill the informational and performance metric requirements of one or more business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consulting services to clients to identify and address their business requirements.
- Evaluate end-to-end business workflows and information requirements of varying complexities, covering one or more operational areas of the company and potentially external stakeholders.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's current and future business landscape, effectively anticipating, identifying, and addressing all business needs.
- Recommend, assess, and document alternatives that will yield the most effective solutions to resolve business challenges, including the implementation of new business initiatives.
- Proactively address client concerns and inquiries, ensuring timely, professional, and client-centric communication through meetings, status updates, phone calls, and emails, while following through on outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on system enhancements and alternative solutions.
- Assist clients in optimizing the use of production systems.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and client organizations to ensure seamless system operations, minimizing disruptions to business activities and enabling the achievement of business objectives.
- Define and document business requirements comprehensively.
- Develop business cases to support various business initiatives.
- Review and prepare test plans, ensuring quality assessments of test outcomes.
- Adhere to SOX documentation and other standard process requirements as necessary.
- Conduct all tasks safely and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
- Follow all utility safety best practices and accountability models.
- Demonstrate involvement in projects of medium to high complexity.
- Exhibit leadership in medium to high-complexity projects.
- Possess expert technical knowledge in one or more functional areas related to client business applications, such as CC&B, SAP, etc., along with project management skills adequate for coordinating multi-organizational projects.
- Showcase exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred qualifications include MBA, CPA, and CMA.
- Demonstrated training or coursework in programming languages relevant to client applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in similar or related roles.
Additional Information
- This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring onsite presence a few times a month as necessary.
- The client will provide necessary equipment such as a laptop and cellphone.
