Lot Operations Manager

IAA, an RB Global, Inc. is looking for a Lot Operations Manager to become a vital part of our team.

The Lot Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing a substantial workforce, managing lot inventory and infrastructure, preparing vehicles for auction, and ensuring the lot is optimally organized for events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe, engaged, and positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate the facility setup for auction events.
  • Uphold company policies and address any violations appropriately.
  • Encourage vehicle enhancements to increase auction value.
  • Monitor and manage lot inventory and infrastructure.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of vehicles and parts.
  • Respond effectively to customer inquiries and needs.
  • Ensure adherence to operational standards.
  • Recommend or execute personnel actions, including performance reviews and hiring decisions.
  • Be adaptable to changing duties based on business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Experience in the equipment rental or construction sectors is preferred.
  • General mechanical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models.
  • Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance.
  • Pass a clean DMV and drug screening.
  • Effectively communicate with customers.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry is advantageous.
  • Forklift operating experience is a plus.
  • Basic automotive repair skills are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with handheld PDAs.
  • Willingness to learn forklift operation.
  • Ability to interact supportively with customers and partners.
  • Capable of performing light vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Physical ability to engage in activities such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • General mechanical knowledge of vehicle makes and models is essential.
  • Teamwork is crucial for success in this role.
  • Awareness of potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and vehicles is necessary.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
