Position Responsibilities

The Culinary Service Associate plays a crucial role in delivering a variety of food service tasks, which include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service.
  • Assisting with kitchen operations, including meal assembly and preparation of menu items.
  • Serving meals to patients while adhering to dietary requirements.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with state regulations.
  • Documenting food and equipment temperatures as mandated by health regulations.
  • Preparing and packaging breakfast and snack items in collaboration with procurement.
  • Ensuring proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Setting up for meal services and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Conducting post-meal clean-up, including dishwashing and sanitation of work areas.
  • Providing beverages and snacks to patients as per dietary guidelines.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in food service within institutional or restaurant settings is preferred.
  • A valid food handler's card as required by state law.

Physical and Work Environment

The role may involve lifting up to 15 lbs and requires sufficient manual dexterity for typing and general computer use. Employees may encounter exposure to bloodborne pathogens and must adhere to infection control policies.
