Job Title: Field Service Technician

RAM Windows and Doors is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing windows and doors at customer job sites in the Houston area.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, manufacturing, and customer service. You will be working independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service and repair of windows and doors. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
  • Service and repair windows and doors at customer job sites
  • Inspect and test windows and doors to ensure proper operation
  • Perform quality checks on completed service tickets
  • Load and unload materials at the warehouse or customer's location
  • Verify pick tickets accurately
  • Assist with deliveries in the field and with service-related tasks
  • Perform warehouse, office, and yard clean-up duties
  • Accurately verify all vendor receiving and loading documents
  • Assign stocking locations to all received materials
  • Perform window mulling and twinning on low to medium-end product lines
  • Perform shop glazing and frame assemblies
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum of 2-4 years related experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in a manufacturing, warehouse production setting
  • Building, construction, contractor knowledge preferred
  • Speak, read, and write English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus) to communicate with customers
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and good driving record (MVR)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational, social, and customer-focus skills
  • Ability to build a complete product knowledge base
  • Computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience working independently with little supervision
  • Ability to lift product and make minor repairs of windows and doors products
  • Must be safety-conscious working with equipment and follow safety procedures
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills required
  • Ability to use and read different measuring devices
  • Previous success working in the field, warehouse, manufacturing, production setting
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Good attendance and punctuality is a must and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed; willingness to work overtime as needed
  • MUST be able to work overtime and weekends when needed
  • Attention-to-Detail; values precision and adhere to high-quality standards
