Position Overview:

As an AVP of Issues and Findings Oversight, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with regulatory bodies and collaborating with various functions such as audit and compliance.
  • Preparing and reviewing documentation prior to submission and managing follow-up actions.
  • Establishing processes and templates to align with recurring and ad hoc compliance milestones.
  • Tracking and escalating risks or issues to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Developing executive-level reporting to communicate findings effectively.

This role is integral to assessing newly identified risks and findings within our technology sector. You will collaborate with operations and technology teams to enhance risk management practices, ensuring governance and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end management of technology findings remediation processes.
  • Assist in defining roles and responsibilities for remediation and validation efforts.
  • Design and implement robust governance frameworks for technology findings.
  • Evaluate emerging risks and threats, assessing the effectiveness of current controls.
  • Maintain strong engagement with stakeholders and senior business partners.
  • Lead recruitment and development initiatives to build a skilled risk management team.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, risk management, or a related field, with a preference for a graduate degree. Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CRISC are advantageous. A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in technology risk and control is required, ideally within a financial institution or highly regulated environment.

Skills and Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of IT risk frameworks (COSO, COBIT, NIST, etc.).
  • Strong project management capabilities with a focus on problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on relationship development.

Compensation:

The typical base salary for this position ranges from $88K to $111K annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellness programs, retirement plans, and paid leave.
