Key Responsibilities- Evaluate food products to ensure quality standards are consistently attained
- Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations
- Uphold Troon's Food and Beverage policies
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with sanitation and health regulations
- Supervise the daily food production operations
- Ensure that customer expectations are consistently exceeded at all times
- Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
- Perform specialty projects as assigned by the Executive Chef
- Undertake responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- 3 years minimum of fine dining experience
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Dependability
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ServSafe Certified preferred
The Executive Sous Chef will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The role will involve standing for long periods, walking, bending, and scooping, as well as regular use of sight, reading, and wrist movement. The employee will occasionally be required to lift up to 30lbs.
