Position Title: Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Opportunity Highlights:

This role is pivotal in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial and operational reporting, forecasting, and analytical projects. You will provide insights for forward-looking financial and business initiatives, prepare forecasts, and analyze trends across manufacturing, sales, finance, and broader business conditions. Additionally, you will identify competitive trends and present your findings to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

To excel in this position, the following duties must be performed effectively:

Financial Analysis:

  • Generate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis to pinpoint key factors influencing financial performance.
  • Deliver insights into business trends and financial forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as required.

Reporting:

  • Create presentations for senior management and board meetings.
  • Communicate financial insights and key metrics to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Enhance and automate reporting processes.

Forecasting and Strategic Support:

  • Collaborate with senior management to formulate long-term business strategies.
  • Support strategic initiatives through comprehensive financial modeling and analysis.
  • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct ROI analyses for capital expenditures and other investments.

Financial Planning:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with department heads.
  • Develop intricate financial models to support forecasting and decision-making.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to identify trends and suggest improvements.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work with various departments (e.g., Accounting, Operations) to achieve business objectives.
  • Offer financial guidance and support to different business units.
  • Integrate data analytics and reporting in collaboration with the IT team for future acquisitions or reorganizations.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Certifications:

Preferred certifications include CPA, CFA, or similar, depending on the industry.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in financial planning and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models and conducting scenario analyses.
  • Prior experience in a senior FP&A role or equivalent position.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning software (e.g., Power BI, Insights, Hyperion) is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
