Position Overview


The Merchandiser II is tasked with executing merchandising activities and creating displays of SGWS products in key retail locations as directed by the Sales Team or retail clients.

This position will support Sales Representatives by placing product orders and may be required to expedite product delivery in urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities

- Construct and uphold merchandising/display materials for all products

- Strategically position merchandise to create an appealing selling environment

- Ensure store aesthetics and product displays align with plans, sales history, and new arrivals

- Collaborate with buyers, marketing, and sales teams on product positioning and presentation strategies

- Place product orders on behalf of the Sales Representative

- Service local stores and replenish existing product displays to maintain stock levels

- Design and coordinate the visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and exhibits

- Distribute and install promotional materials, such as refund offers, neck hangers, shelf-talkers, and price tags on company products

- Fill cold boxes and warm shelves at client accounts with company products

- Replenish and re-merchandise existing product displays

- Assemble, install, and stock various types of display racks

- Manage the delivery of special orders, mail, and merchandise

- Perform sales support tasks, including utilizing current point-of-sale marketing materials, overseeing shelf space in chain accounts, and maintaining communication with representatives regarding buyer preferences and inventory concerns

- Reset alcoholic beverages at the store level, rearranging products according to authorized plans within assigned territories

- Implement authorized plans/schematics developed by chain headquarters, ensuring accuracy in evaluation, application, and execution

- Introduce new products, reinforce established case volumes and display activities, and monitor in-store promotional outcomes

- Stay informed about market conditions, identify new opportunities within each account, maintain necessary territory records, and support sales representatives' visibility and market presence

- Build and nurture trust with retailers through knowledge of SGWS policies and prompt resolution of inventory discrepancies

- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Two years of relevant experience

- Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance as per state regulations

- Minimum age requirement of 21 years

Physical Demands

Physical activities may include prolonged periods of sitting and typing on a computer or mobile device, as well as walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.

This role may require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling items weighing up to 56 lbs.

This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
