Job Title: Business Development Operations Analysis Lead

Leidos is a leading provider of scientific, engineering, and technical services to the US government and commercial customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Operations Analysis Lead to support our Defense Sector Growth Office.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Operations Analysis Lead will be responsible for leading projects and collaborating with business development and capture leaders across the Defense Sector. This role will apply sound judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical, and management functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Sector Growth Senior Vice President in the design and implementation of overall strategy and day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate Strategy to Action plans across the Defense Sector.
  • Provide decision support through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation of relevant considerations to key stakeholders.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives from development through successful execution.
  • Aid the Sector SVP in identifying and assessing scenarios requiring insight for problem resolution.
  • Coordinate with the Growth SVP and Defense Sector management team in strategic planning, policy development, budget development/adherence, and decision-making.
  • Develop project plans and deliverables that meet identified requirements.
  • Ensure assigned individuals are executing all phases of identified and assigned tasks.
  • Consult with senior management, project sponsors, and/or other stakeholders regarding the interpretation of work-around, recovery plans, work scope changes, etc.
  • Anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot issues of concern or significance.
  • Develop relationships with sector functional management to support execution coherence across the sector.
  • Collaborate with leadership regarding possible workaround, recovery plans, work scope changes, etc.
  • Apply judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical, and/or management functions.
  • Provide oversight support of all internal and external communications produced by the Sector Growth organization.
  • Execute and support other operational projects as assigned by the Sector SVP.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university required, combined with 12+ years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Proven capability to apply strong diplomatic, leadership, and problem-solving skills to enable and enhance the daily operations of the sector.
  • Strong capability to interact with senior management on controversial situations or influencing and persuading other senior-level leaders.
  • Excellent verbal (including presentation) and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem solver who can make clear-headed decisions while under pressure.
  • High level of knowledge and acumen with program management/scheduling tools, Microsoft Suite (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Prior experience in Business Development and understanding of Leidos Win Plan.
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding of Gross Awards, Backlog, Factoring, and Book-to-Bill.
  • Working knowledge of WinIt tool and functionality preferred.
