Job Description

Job Title: FDA Business Development Lead

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead to establish and maintain strategic relationships with the FDA and other key stakeholders in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong network and excellent relationship-building skills, with a proven track record of driving business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue new opportunities with the FDA and other key stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with FDA leadership and other key decision-makers to stay informed about emerging trends and priorities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business development plans, including market research, competitive analysis, and capture strategies.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement vehicles.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the FDA's priorities, policies, and procedures to inform business development strategies.

  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on healthcare industry trends and developments.

  • Collaborate with other business development teams to share best practices and leverage collective expertise.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of direct work experience with the FDA or other key stakeholders in the healthcare industry.

  • Proven track record of driving business growth and development, with a strong network and excellent relationship-building skills.

  • Strong understanding of the FDA's priorities, policies, and procedures, as well as the healthcare industry landscape.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.

  • Experience directing a distributed team, managing multiple customers, programs, and projects as one collective business.

  • Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully, including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business over multiple years.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with supporting functions and other delivery organizations for win/win results.

Pay Range: $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
