Job Description

Job Title: FDA Business Development Lead

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the FDA Business Development Lead. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with the FDA and other key stakeholders in the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue for Leidos in the FDA space.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the FDA and other healthcare organizations.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the FDA space, including partnerships, collaborations, and contract awards.

  • Develop and manage proposals, bids, and other business development materials to support Leidos' pursuit of FDA-related business opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to drive business growth and revenue.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to inform business development strategies and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 15+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of direct work experience with an in-depth understanding of the FDA and other healthcare organizations.

  • Relevant subject matter expertise in the healthcare industry, including knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.

  • Experience directing a distributed team, managing multiple customers, programs, and projects as one collective business.

  • Experience in relationship building that increases market penetration and leads to increased opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow all aspects of a business area successfully, including customers, people, programs, financials, and new business over multiple years.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and work with supporting functions and other delivery organizations for win/win results.
