Position Overview:

The role of Client Manager, Captive involves direct collaboration with Senior Client Managers and the Captive Underwriting team to oversee sold case and renewal processes. You will engage with captive relationships, brokers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to address complex service inquiries.

This position is essential for strategic relationship management, focusing on policyholders, brokers, TPAs, and Captive Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Captive Underwriting and the Service Center on new business and renewal execution.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline for new business and renewals across Captive units.
  • Manage service issues for in-force policies to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure retention.
  • Support Captive Underwriting and external partners in managing renewals.
  • Respond to inquiries from captive relationships, brokers, and TPAs via phone and email.
  • Keep the Client Relationship Management system updated with relevant communications and activities.
  • Develop expertise in Captive Stop Loss products and the Self-Insured industry landscape.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials to captive partners and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal service departments to facilitate issue resolution.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Preferred experience of 1+ years in Group Insurance or Stop Loss Insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with CRM tools is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone presence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills, particularly in cross-departmental contexts.
  • History of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
