Position Summary:

This role is pivotal in overseeing power distribution, transmission, and electrical utility construction and maintenance teams. Responsibilities include coordinating contractors engaged in line maintenance, circuit upkeep, vegetation management, new electrical utility projects, and contract & budget oversight. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety, customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity in all tasks undertaken.



Position Responsibilities:
1. Execute managerial and supervisory functions in alignment with company standards.

2. Ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

3. Manage timecard reporting for accurate record-keeping.

4. Develop and maintain the annual standby list and review daily incidents.

5. Investigate and document incidents as per the outage review protocol.

6. Engage in the budgeting process and monitor financial expenditures.

7. Oversee and uphold service standards.

8. Contribute to the development of the LCEC Apprentice Program.

9. Manage projects related to assigned contracts.

10. Review daily crew organization and task assignments.

11. Apply LCEC policies and procedures uniformly.

12. Participate in the recruitment process for new personnel.

13. Ensure documentation of progressive discipline.

14. Attend monthly safety meetings.

15. Conduct annual performance evaluations.

16. Provide assistance and support to the Senior Supervisor as required.

17. Foster effective working relationships with team members and clients.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, business administration, or a related field (Preferred)

Experience:
2+ to 5 Years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership capacity (Required)

10+ to 15 Years of experience in electrical utility construction (Required)

2+ to 5 Years of supervisory experience (Required)

Experience in change management (Required)

Prior experience as an electrical utility construction supervisor (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to perform administrative functions such as budgeting (Required)

Demonstrated capability to resolve customer and employee issues (Required)

Thorough understanding of transmission distribution high-voltage line construction (Required)

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Required)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Required)

Must reside within a 60-minute commute from the work site (Required)

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Florida Driver License (Required)

Project Coordination and/or Supervision Courses (Preferred)

TQM or process improvement skills or certification (Preferred)
