Job Overview

The Sales Support Specialist will assist clients in purchasing products at the service counter. This role involves collaboration with customers, management, and warehouse staff to ensure orders are processed efficiently. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional service to our clientele while identifying opportunities for additional sales. Candidates with HVAC experience are encouraged to apply, and competitive compensation will be offered based on experience. Background knowledge in controls or equipment is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcomes and engages with customers.
  • Consults with clients to understand their requirements and preferences regarding products.
  • Collaborates with seasoned technical advisors or experienced personnel to provide detailed explanations of products, aiding customers in selecting the most suitable options.
  • Addresses customer inquiries or escalates them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Retrieves products from the sales area, stockroom, or other inventory locations; places special orders and assists in stocking items as necessary.
  • Processes payments using the store's point-of-sale system and manages returns and exchanges.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong active listening skills.
  • Proficient data entry and computer skills.
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs.
  • Capability to operate or quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system.
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge about HVAC products.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior HVAC installation and service experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a front-counter sales environment is beneficial.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
