Position Overview

Family Resources Inc. has been a trusted organization since 1970, dedicated to providing crisis intervention, secure housing, and supportive environments for runaway and homeless adolescents. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of those in need, offering a safe haven for youth who have nowhere else to turn.

The **Youth Development Specialist** plays a crucial role in the direct care and oversight of young individuals within our residential program. This position requires sound judgment and the capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with the utmost care. The specialist operates under established protocols and reports directly to the Residential Supervisor.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following shifts:

  • Part-Time: Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • As Needed (PRN)

Compensation: Starting base pay is **$20.00 per hour**.

Benefits: Available to eligible employees.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to two years of relevant work experience or equivalent volunteer hours.
  • Experience in direct contact roles with at-risk youth is essential.
  • Must possess awareness and acceptance of the LGBT community.
  • Ability to recognize and respect cultural differences among clients, staff, and community members.
  • Background must comply with the standards set by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
  • A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance are mandatory.
