TYPE: Full Time; Salaried / Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW: DrinkPAK is seeking a proactive Senior Accounting Specialist to contribute to the ambitious growth objectives of the organization. This role will collaborate closely with the Senior Controller to establish the financial and accounting frameworks necessary for success in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who thrives on learning and is eager to advance their career. Responsibilities will encompass overseeing all facets of the company's routine general ledger operations, including participation in annual audits, invoicing, accounts receivable, month-end closing processes, and ongoing deliverables related to customer interactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Company's month-end financial closing activities (e.g., manage close schedules, reconcile general ledger accounts, complete bank reconciliations, post journal entries, etc.)
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate execution of daily transactions (e.g., receipt of goods, accounts receivable invoicing, accounts payable invoicing and approval controls, inventory management, cash applications, expense reporting, etc.)
  • Engage heavily in periodic invoicing, including direct communication with customers when necessary
  • Develop and document procedures and accounting policies to enhance the company's internal control framework
  • Work alongside the Senior Controller to review and implement enhancements to accounting and operational systems for improved efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist with financial audits by gathering audit requests and uploading them to the internal drive
  • Complete ad hoc assignments and special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP accounting software such as SAP BusinessOne, Quickbooks, or similar platforms is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • A self-starter who enjoys working within a collaborative team environment
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, initiative, and a sense of ownership over responsibilities
