POSITION OVERVIEW: DrinkPAK is in search of a proactive Staff Accountant to contribute to our ambitious growth objectives. This role will collaborate closely with the Senior Controller to establish robust finance and accounting frameworks essential for thriving in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is passionate about learning and eager to advance their career. Responsibilities will encompass overseeing the company's routine general ledger operations, participating in annual audits, managing invoicing, accounts receivable, month-end closing processes, and maintaining customer relationships.

LOCATION: This position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the month-end financial closing process, including managing the close schedule, reconciling general ledger accounts, completing bank reconciliations, and posting journal entries.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate execution of daily transactions, including receipt of goods, accounts receivable and payable invoicing, inventory management, and external reporting.
  • Engage in regular invoicing processes, including direct communication with customers as needed.
  • Develop and document accounting procedures and policies to enhance the company's internal control framework.
  • Work alongside the Senior Controller to assess and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with financial audits by gathering audit requests and managing documentation.
  • Undertake special projects and ad hoc assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 1-3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods or manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with GAAP compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP accounting software such as SAP BusinessOne, Quickbooks, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and initiative.

WORKING CONDITIONS

SALARY RANGE

$65,000 - $75,000
