Position: Senior Manager, Real Estate Counsel
Compensation: $150,000 plus bonus
Work Arrangement: Hybrid remote

The Senior Manager, Real Estate Counsel role at Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc. focuses on the preparation, drafting, and negotiation of commercial leases, purchase agreements, and various legal documents pertinent to the real estate sector. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, hold a law degree, and be licensed to practice law.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting, negotiating, and preparing commercial leases, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, non-disclosure agreements, amendments to reciprocal easement agreements, brokerage agreements, and ancillary agreements, along with reviewing letters of intent.
  2. Conducting research and summarizing rights and obligations related to the aforementioned documents.
  3. Providing legal analysis and reviewing shopping center documents, including leases, operating agreements, reciprocal easement agreements, and other contracts.
  4. Overseeing the documentation process from inception to execution and distribution.
  5. Ensuring that the information in the Tracking Database is current and accurate in accordance with standard procedures.
  6. Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney, including involvement in new development projects, leasing, and transactional real estate matters.
  2. Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  3. Must be admitted to practice law.
  4. Must meet Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements to maintain an active license to practice law.
  5. Experience in real estate transfer documentation and retail/commercial leasing is essential.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
