Job Overview

Position Title: Bilingual Residential Support Services Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage operations at designated residential facilities during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with all administrative and programmatic responsibilities as directed by the Residential Manager.
  • Uphold and communicate organizational policies and procedures effectively.
  • Foster and maintain open lines of communication with team members, providing updates on changes affecting the individuals served, company announcements, and other pertinent information.
  • Monitor and assess Direct Support Professional (DSP) attendance, ensuring adherence to established attendance policies.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to review and track medication errors, engaging in quality improvement initiatives as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with driving policies and work alongside the Residential Manager to oversee vehicle maintenance and operations.
  • Provide guidance, corrective feedback, and mentorship to staff in collaboration with the Residential Manager and Human Resources team.
  • Assist nursing staff with medication distribution and related activities as required.
  • Work with the scheduling team to develop staffing plans and address needs for assigned residences.
  • Ensure staff compliance with Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs), addressing the medical, physical, psychological, and social needs of individuals, while collaborating with the Residential Manager on ISPs/BSPs development and review.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and debriefing support to DSPs following incidents.
  • Maintain knowledge of abuse prevention, neglect, and property misappropriation, responding in accordance with company policies and mandatory reporting laws.
  • Review on-site supply availability and coordinate with the Residential Manager on procurement needs, while maintaining accurate financial records for supplies, groceries, and household items in line with company policies.
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals as necessary.
  • Conduct monthly inspections and audits of programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, social services, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a direct support professional is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Previous experience in shelter services, support for rehousing homeless clients, customer service, or human services is preferred.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff while ensuring high-quality care and support for individuals.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism, including maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Cultural sensitivity is essential.
  • Ability to meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, twist, reach, pull, and push up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexible availability to meet operational needs, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts potentially lasting up to 12 hours.
  • Medical statement of good health required every two years of employment.
