We are seeking dedicated Medical Lab Technicians to contribute to improved health outcomes in a full-time capacity.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves conducting both waived and non-waived laboratory tests in accordance with CLIA '88 standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under supervision. The technician will assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant laboratory accreditation and regulatory standards.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute laboratory tests accurately and promptly, adhering to established protocols and performance benchmarks. Responsible for the calibration and operational integrity of testing equipment. Demonstrate a solid understanding of testing principles and clinical significance. Resolve routine operational challenges and exhibit proficiency in basic troubleshooting of laboratory systems.

2. Validate abnormal patient and quality control results, ensuring the reliability of test outcomes. Participate in identifying and documenting procedural deviations, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Uphold departmental standards for productivity and quality assurance.

3. Manage laboratory supplies effectively, ensuring optimal use of materials and contributing to inventory oversight. Identify opportunities for enhancing financial performance through cost reduction and improved service delivery.

4. Take initiative in contributing to departmental projects and training of new staff. Demonstrate leadership capabilities in the absence of supervisory personnel and complete all required training modules.

5. Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders. Engage in resolving communication challenges and promote a collaborative work environment through positive interactions.

6. Prepare and process patient samples as needed, ensuring accurate identification and integrity of specimens throughout the laboratory workflow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Foreign-educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation for eligibility assessment.
  • Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
  • Basic understanding of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
  • Prior experience in phlebotomy and laboratory processing.
  • Additional relevant education or experience.
