We are seeking dedicated Medical Lab Technicians to contribute to our mission of enhancing health outcomes in a full-time capacity.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves performing both waived and non-waived laboratory tests in compliance with CLIA '88 standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness under supervision. The technician will assist in maintaining departmental compliance with all relevant laboratory accreditation and regulatory requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct laboratory tests accurately and promptly, adhering to established protocols and performance standards. This includes the operation, calibration, and validation of laboratory instruments. The technician will apply independent judgment and utilize resources effectively while demonstrating a thorough understanding of testing theories and clinical significance.

2. Identify and confirm the validity of abnormal patient and quality control results. Ensure the precision of test outcomes and engage in documenting any deviations from standard procedures, facilitating effective problem resolution.

3. Manage laboratory supplies efficiently, contributing to inventory oversight and ensuring optimal use of reagents and materials. The technician will actively seek opportunities to enhance financial performance and service quality.

4. Take initiative in contributing to departmental projects and training programs. The technician will support the development of laboratory staff and provide guidance in the absence of supervisory personnel.

5. Maintain professional communication with both internal and external stakeholders, addressing any communication challenges effectively. The technician will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.

6. Prepare and process patient samples as necessary, ensuring accurate patient and specimen identification and maintaining specimen integrity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • An Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Foreign-educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation from a recognized agency.
  • Proven competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
  • Familiarity with specimen requirements and medical terminology.
  • Prior experience in phlebotomy and laboratory processing.
  • Additional relevant education or experience.
