Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Retail Sales Manager (East) to lead our retail sales efforts across the East Coast, focusing on grocery and deli sectors. This role is ideal for an individual with extensive experience in retail sales, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for promoting sustainable food options. The successful candidate will be proactive and results-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retail Sales Execution: Oversee the entire sales process from prospecting to closing retail accounts, covering various categories within grocery stores.
  • Manage regional rollouts and effectively present to regional teams.
  • Demonstrate a history of increasing account values over time.
  • Create impactful presentations and materials to secure and support retail accounts.
  • Onboard and manage distributors to facilitate retail growth.

Retail Account Management:
Build and sustain strong partnerships with national retailers, ensuring alignment with Prime Roots' mission. Responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating contracts and promotions to enhance sales and brand visibility.
  • Planning and executing in-store marketing initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team.

Sales Strategy and Planning:
Formulate and implement effective retail sales strategies, including:

  • Promotional campaigns and pricing strategies.
  • Product launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Reporting and Analysis:
Provide regular performance reports, analyzing key metrics to drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing data to refine sales strategies.
  • Delivering insights and analysis to the leadership team to meet and exceed sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in national retail sales management, particularly in the food and beverage sector.
  • Experience in the natural grocery channel is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong relationships with national retail partners.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
