Role of the Healthcare Support Specialist: This position involves assisting healthcare providers by utilizing advanced skills and knowledge acquired through accredited training programs.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification from a recognized national certifying body (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred; experience in urgent care is advantageous.
  • Certification in X-Ray (RT or LXMO) is a plus.

Learning and Growth Opportunities:

  • Participants may enroll in our limited-scope radiography (LXMO) classes, guided by our in-house instructor, to prepare for board certification.
  • All associated costs will be covered by the organization.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage starting at $26+, based on experience.

Work Schedule: Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week. Shifts are structured as follows:

  • Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities: The Healthcare Support Specialist will perform various essential functions, including but not limited to:

  • Assisting with nursing procedures under the supervision of healthcare providers.
  • Conducting full triage and recording vital signs.
  • Performing tasks such as vaccinations, blood draws, and EKG setups.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensuring compliance with protocols.
  • Managing medical supplies and ensuring exam rooms are well-stocked.
  • Supporting front office staff with patient scheduling and insurance verification.
  • Documenting all necessary logs and checks as required.
