Fab Facilities Equipment Engineer (VOC Abatement)

The Role:
To accommodate our expansion and enhance production capabilities, we are looking for a seasoned Fab Engineer to play a pivotal role in our operations. This engineer will take charge of the conceptualization, design, and execution of VOC (volatile organic compounds) abatement systems within our manufacturing environments.
This position is innovative, focusing on the design of new facilities and equipment with a keen eye on VOC abatement and the integration of these systems. Responsibilities will include researching and developing pioneering technologies and methodologies aimed at improving contamination control and minimizing VOC levels in advanced manufacturing settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead collaborative efforts among R&D, Operations, and facilities teams to drive mechanical design, implementation, and support of point-of-use VOC reduction systems for manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Integrate VOC reduction systems with cleanroom mechanical systems.
- Champion the reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) within the manufacturing environment.
- Oversee system design responsibilities, ensuring that developed designs are standardized and prepared for future projects.
- Participate in contamination control discussions at Entegris.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing organic and molecular contaminants in semiconductor fabrication facilities or equipment.
- 5 or more years of experience in the semiconductor, aerospace, or related high-tech sectors.
- Proven ability to lead and direct technicians and contractors while coordinating various design and contractor disciplines across multiple projects.
- Self-motivated, independent, and upholding high professional integrity.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Experience in the abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in semiconductor fabrication or similar high-tech manufacturing environments.
- A multidisciplinary background in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A comprehensive understanding of volatile organic compounds and effective techniques for their removal or mitigation in manufacturing settings.
