The Role:

To accommodate our expanding manufacturing capabilities, we are in search of a skilled Fab Engineer to contribute to our operations in Colorado. This engineer will take the lead in the conceptualization, design, and execution of VOC (volatile organic compounds) abatement systems within our production facilities.

This role is pivotal in supporting the design of new factories and equipment from a VOC abatement standpoint, ensuring the effective implementation of these systems. Responsibilities will include researching and developing pioneering technologies and solutions to enhance contamination controls and minimize VOC levels in advanced manufacturing settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct cross-functional teams in R&D, Operations, and Facilities to spearhead mechanical design, implementation, and support of Point of Use VOC reduction systems for manufacturing and assembly equipment.
  • Integrate VOC reduction systems with Cleanroom Mechanical Systems.
  • Champion the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) within the manufacturing environment.
  • Oversee system design responsibilities, ensuring that developed designs are standardized and prepared for future projects.
  • Participate in contamination control discussions within Entegris.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the mitigation of organic and molecular contaminants in semiconductor fabrication facilities or equipment.
  • 5 or more years of experience in the Semiconductor, Aerospace, or related high-tech sectors.
  • Proven capability to manage and guide technicians and contractors while coordinating multiple design and contractor disciplines across various projects.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to professional integrity.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the abatement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in semiconductor fabrication or similar high-tech manufacturing environments.
  • A multidisciplinary background in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A comprehensive understanding of volatile organic compounds and methods to eliminate or reduce such compounds in products or manufacturing environments.
