Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

The Integration and Controls Engineer plays a vital role in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing and maintaining control systems and related equipment, adhering to electrical layouts and building plans.
  • Leading a team of technicians to verify MDIOC power systems.
  • Collaborating closely with MDIOC customers and Mission Partners.
  • Conducting repairs and inspections on MDIOC Control Systems, including Siemens Insight or Desigo and Eaton Power monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing circuits according to wiring and system specifications.
  • Providing training on MDIOC control systems.
  • Creating situational reports for critical equipment and developing procedures to manage system anomalies.
  • Coordinating with engineers, general contractors, and end users to determine requirements and implement code-compliant solutions.
  • Facilitating meetings and escorting contractors within restricted areas of the base and facility.
  • Assisting organizational leadership with additional tasks as needed.

Basic Requirements:

  • One of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) with 12 years of general experience; Associate's degree with 10 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree with 8 years of general experience; Master's degree with 6 years of general experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Mission Assurance, along with electrical or controls experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles.
  • Experience in System Engineering or Mission Assurance.
  • Familiarity with Siemens Insight.
  • Experience in installing and maintaining Eaton or Veris Power Monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and panel schedules.
  • Experience tracing electrical circuits.
  • HVAC Maintenance or Controls Maintenance technician experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining BAS system components with 4 years of electrical experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining BAS system components with 2 years of technician experience.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience coordinating with MDIOC Mission partners.
  • Familiarity with Maximo as a CMMS.
  • Experience working with Government customers.
  • MDIOC System Engineering or Mission Assurance experience.
  • NFPA 70E Training.
  • OSHA 10 certification.

This position is expected to offer a salary range of $104,000 - $129,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
