Unique Caring Crisis Interventionist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Interventionist to join our team at Unique Caring. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of foster families and youth.

About the Job

This Crisis Interventionist position plays a vital role in providing crisis interventions and support to foster families and youth. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to after-hours calls, attending treatment team meetings, and participating in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to after-hours crisis calls, providing immediate support and guidance to foster families and youth.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss case plans, progress, and any challenges that may arise.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to stay informed about agency policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Complete and submit incident reports according to state mandates, ensuring timely submission to the compliance and training coordinator.
  • Work closely with guardians and families to provide stress management training and educate them on effective crisis intervention techniques.
  • As part of our first responder team, you will address problems and crises related to foster parents and youth on your caseload.
  • Assist guardians and families in accessing behavioral health services for observation and assessment.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant training offered by agencies, MCOs, or MCO affiliates to ensure you have the latest information needed to perform your job effectively.
  • Attend annual 24-hour training sessions as required by the state.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and Unique Caring's standards.
  • Ensure the rights and well-being of individuals in licensed homes are protected, preventing abuse or neglect.
  • Respond professionally to inquiries, adhering to company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
What We Offer

At Unique Caring, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package to support our dedicated employees. Our estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
