Position Overview

We are seeking an Enrollment Specialist to facilitate the enrollment process within our organization. The primary responsibilities include managing eligibility and financial transactions, as well as maintaining communication with brokers and clients regarding enrollment and payment matters. This role also involves assisting brokers and Financial Services Administrators (FSAs) with inquiries related to eligibility, fulfillment materials, and billing issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes new group accounts in the database.
  • Renews current accounts in the system.
  • Handles all necessary transactions for New Business and Renewals as designated.
  • Ensures accurate premium establishment in the database.
  • Processes additions and deletions of dependents.
  • Manages cancellations and refunds, applying credits as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Finance Department on account reconciliations and financial discrepancies.
  • Distributes all confirmations, cancellation notices, and fulfillment notifications to members and brokers as required.
  • Coordinates special mail delivery requests with the Fulfillment unit.
  • Manages eligibility transactions related to payment failures according to established business rules.
  • Provides assistance to brokers and members regarding claims, eligibility, fulfillment materials, benefits, and billing; collaborates with brokers to recover premiums for failed payments.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in the health insurance sector, with a focus on customer service and data entry; experience in broker relations is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to address customer complaints and concerns effectively.
  • Familiarity with insurance products and terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with automated enrollment processing software.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to make informed decisions supported by documentation.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Must have a minimum internet speed of 75 Mbps for remote work.

Work Environment:

  • Flexibility to work in an office or remote setting.
  • Occasional overtime and schedule flexibility may be required for key meetings and critical job functions.
  • Physical demands include effective communication through auditory and visual methods.

Competitive base salary starting at $37,739 annually, with compensation based on relevant experience and skill level.
