Position Overview
Role and Objective
Sika is seeking a Regional Sales Executive to oversee the Eastern United States, specifically the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will ideally reside in northern Virginia, the DC metropolitan area, or Baltimore. This role entails driving sales growth and achieving profit targets within Sika's Resinous Flooring Market. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located within the designated geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales growth and profit targets across all products and systems within the Sikafloor portfolio.
- Develop, nurture, and manage assigned accounts to ensure satisfaction among customers and stakeholders.
- Generate demand through effective specification and management of owner accounts.
- Proactively follow up and convert leads and opportunities provided by regional Cross-Selling Teams, Business Development Managers, and Inside Sales/Marketing.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all Sikafloor resinous products and systems.
- Maintain a prominent presence within the industry through active participation in association activities.
- Collaborate with the Sika Accounts Receivable department to manage company credit and payment policies within the contractor network.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Manager.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the construction process from inception to completion, coupled with extensive knowledge of how construction products are marketed within the industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the construction or contracting sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with the flooring industry and related products is advantageous.
- Proven capability to independently manage a substantial sales territory.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with effective planning and time management abilities.
- Willingness to travel over 50% via car, plane, or train.
- A valid driver's license in good standing.
