Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Safety Design Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, you will be tasked with:
  • Creating all P&IDs and layout schematics pertinent to loss prevention, safety apparatus, and evacuation routes, while collaborating with designers and drafters to ensure accurate representation in drawings and specifications.
  • Producing necessary calculations and reports to support loss prevention designs.
  • Leading and conducting risk assessments, hazard identification studies, hazard operability studies, consequence analysis, layers of protection analysis, and departmental reviews.
  • Drafting specifications and datasheets for specialized safety and loss prevention equipment or components.
  • Assisting in the management of packages for specialized safety and loss prevention equipment or components.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, along with three (3) years of relevant experience in the offered position or in related loss prevention (Fire Protection) roles, particularly in maritime structures.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering field, accompanied by five (5) years of relevant experience in the offered position or in related loss prevention (Fire Protection) roles, specifically in maritime structures.
