Job Overview
As a Process Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
Ø Implementing and upholding Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs in alignment with regulatory standards.
Ø Leading and managing Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Facility Siting Studies, and other PSM-related assessments for current processes, projects, and modifications.
Ø Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and manage changes through Management of Change (MOC) protocols.
Ø Developing and refining written Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) & PSM procedures, policies, and documentation.
Ø Conducting and leading incident investigations to identify root causes and preventive measures.
Ø Performing regular audits to ensure adherence to internal procedures and industry benchmarks.
Ø Delivering essential safety and process safety training to plant personnel to improve awareness and comprehension.
Ø Assisting sites with Safety Instrumented System (SIS) documentation and supporting Safety Integrity Level (SIL) scenario analysis and Functional Safety Assessments.
Ø Managing relief device systems and ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Ø Staying informed on industry best practices, regulations, and standards pertinent to process safety.
Ø Providing project insights regarding process safety requirements, including recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP) and industry consensus standards (e.g., NFPA, ASME, API, IEC, and ASTM) to mitigate risks.
Ø Conducting chemical dispersion modeling for PSM/RMP analysis as necessary.
Ø Performing additional safety-related compliance tasks as directed by the SHE manager.
Ø Maintaining open communication with other personnel, functions, or departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Ø Keeping abreast of industry best practices/standards and RAGAGEP.
Ø Upholding high professional and technical knowledge in process safety by participating in educational workshops and reviewing professional literature.
Ø Demonstrating professional conduct, punctuality, and ethical standards in the workplace, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ø Completing mandatory training requirements relevant to the department and job responsibilities.
Ø Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications / Requirements
v Engineering degree preferred.
v 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
