Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in design evaluations and requirements formulation
  • Perform system hazard evaluations and software safety assessments
  • Compile hazard documentation and supporting materials
  • Deliver findings to the Safety Review Panel
  • Collaborate with internal Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) teams and engineering/management personnel

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8 years with a Master's Degree in a technical field
  • Excellent communication abilities and capacity to thrive in a dynamic setting
  • Strong analytical skills and a knack for providing innovative solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NASA Extravehicular Vehicle Activity (EVA) suits
  • Familiarity with NASA Programs, policies, and standards
  • Prior experience presenting to NASA Safety Review Panels
  • Understanding of NASA Hazard Tracking Database and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) processes

Work Environment:

  • On-site collaboration at customer facilities
  • Professional communication skills are crucial
  • Ability to work effectively in both small and large teams

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation
  • Ability to lift items weighing over 15 lbs.
