Job Summary

The Cost Accounting Supervisor position is a key role in the company's financial management team, responsible for providing financial analysis and support to various departments. This position will provide the ideal candidate with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing manufacturing environment with exposure to professional growth and advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in month-end closing duties, including preparation of journal entries, review of general ledger account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Perform financial analysis, including forecast activities, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with various departments, such as Materials, Engineering, Operations, and Master Data, to ensure accurate standard costs.
  • Participate in team-oriented projects to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement additional SAP functionality.
  • Assist in the facilitation of control activities related to inventory accuracy, including statistical inventory audits.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Attention to detail with a strategic focus.
  • Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple projects from beginning to end.
  • Deadline-driven and self-motivated.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including charts and pivot tables.
  • ERP proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, handling multiple tasks and initiatives.
Education
  • BS/BA Accounting degree required.
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
