Job Overview

WSR Grounds LLC is seeking an experienced Landscape Operations Supervisor to lead our dedicated team.

Position Type: Full Time – Exempt (Salaried)

Compensation: Salary based on experience

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of WSR Grounds

Direct Reports: Crew Leaders and Crew Members

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment of crew members to build a proficient team for various projects
    • Oversee training, development, and management of the crew to ensure tasks are completed effectively
    • Ensure quality, coordination, and operational efficiency of the diverse crew
    • Provide training and technical support in specialized project areas
    • Monitor attendance, assess performance, and document progress of crew members
  • Prepare necessary supplies, equipment, and materials for projects
  • Manage workflow and maintain records related to machinery, tools, and vehicle upkeep
  • Complete daily and weekly reports on job tasks for submission to the Grounds Director
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy while collaborating with crew, clients, and the public
  • Enforce safety protocols and evaluate the safety performance of crew members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Provide budget recommendations to the Grounds Director
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for assigned areas
  • Assist in ordering required equipment for budgeted projects
  • Plan and organize work schedules for self and team to meet deadlines
  • Supervise crew leaders, operations manager, and irrigation supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience in the landscaping sector (golf course/turf management experience not required)
  • Proficient understanding of landscape maintenance and enhancements
  • Experience with Homeowners Associations is advantageous
  • Ability to prepare and evaluate estimates and proposals
  • Skilled in organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks with minimal oversight
  • Capable of establishing, training, managing, and motivating relationships across all levels
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in scheduling, ordering materials, and inventory management
  • Recordkeeping of equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform all physical tasks required
  • Knowledge of plants, hardscapes, landscape maintenance, masonry, excavation, grading, and drainage specific to the North Texas region
  • Exhibit good judgment and attention to detail
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License is required
