Key Responsibilities

  • Examine contracts, amendments, and supplementary documents to ensure financial and risk compliance is accurately tracked.
  • Analyze and comprehend the financial obligations outlined in the owner's contract as they pertain to the project.
  • Verify and authorize the coding of invoices related to assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to guarantee compliance for timely vendor payments.
  • Input budgets for newly added phases of projects.
  • Manage subcontractor billing processes through Textura, coordinating with the Project Management team to create approved sub-SOVs, oversee monthly billing cycles, and ensure proper documentation of releases.
  • Generate precise and timely monthly submissions to clients.
  • Assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed for the project.
  • Oversee and manage all accounts established for the project.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for subcontractor payment releases.
  • Facilitate the release of liens and claims as required, primarily for the Owner, utilizing automated systems.
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll entries for job site personnel.
  • Compile and submit accurate owner billing reconciliations to job cost.
  • Support the Project Manager with accounting reports and issues, aiding in the reconciliation of job cost details for forecasting purposes.
  • Monitor the sub-guard program with the risk department to confirm contract values and enrolled subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting within a General Contractor environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly with advanced functions like V-Lookups and Tables.
  • Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively, and think independently.
  • Strong understanding of cost analysis principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
