This role involves collaborating with a vibrant, skilled public relations team, managing prestigious global travel accounts including hotels, resorts, destinations, luxury products, airlines, and travel services.


The Account Manager will oversee various projects and team members, serving as the primary day-to-day contact for clients while receiving support from senior executives.

You will be responsible for developing media relations strategies, client planning, execution, special events, and partnership initiatives for travel clients.

This position is based in our Los Angeles office with a flexible hybrid work schedule.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary client liaison alongside senior partners, managing timelines and budgets while establishing yourself as the client's trusted advisor.
  • Oversee the daily execution of public relations campaigns and initiatives.
  • Lead proactive media relations strategies to secure earned media for accounts.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and newsjacking opportunities to enhance client media coverage.
  • Develop comprehensive public relations strategy documents that integrate earned, owned, and paid tactics.
  • Organize and lead press trips and events for clients.
  • Assist in creating client marketing materials, including media kits, social media content, blog outreach, and media pitches.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges during program execution.
  • Build and maintain meaningful media relationships to stay informed about industry developments.
  • Identify new business opportunities and participate in proposals and presentations.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations agency, particularly with travel and consumer clients.
  • A degree in communications is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven success in managing external programs, including media relations and social media initiatives.
  • Strong connections with top-tier media outlets in business, lifestyle, consumer, travel, and podcasts.
  • A demonstrated history of securing media coverage for clients in national travel and lifestyle outlets.
  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including editing proficiency.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Meltwater, Cision, Muckrack, Creator IQ, and Infegy is a plus.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 annually, based on experience and location.
