Position Overview

This is a remote opportunity.

Role Summary:

The Executive Director of Identity and Access Management is tasked with steering the strategic vision and governance of the IAM initiative throughout the organization. This position oversees the planning, execution, and operational management of the IAM team, its processes, architecture, and the associated tools and technologies.

This is a full-time, exempt remote role reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Compensation Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the planning, execution, and operational management of the IAM team, including processes, architecture, and technology.
· Formulate and execute a robust IAM strategy that aligns with business goals and security mandates.
· Serve as the subject matter expert across all IAM domains, including identity governance and administration (IGA), access management, privileged access oversight, and identity verification for various platforms.
· Identify and implement enhancements to improve the performance and efficiency of the IAM program while minimizing costs.
· Acquire and manage essential resources to support all IAM functions, ensuring alignment with IT enterprise objectives and mitigating organizational risk.
· Direct and mentor the IAM team, promoting a culture of innovation, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
· Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of IAM solutions across diverse platforms, including Active Directory, Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
· Ensure that the overall IT strategy and architectural standards are integrated into IAM service programs, methodologies, and technologies, in accordance with leading IAM practices.
· Collaborate with application owners and technical stakeholders to incorporate IAM requirements into both new and existing applications.
· Guarantee the seamless integration of IAM solutions with current IT infrastructure and applications.
· Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in IAM, including AI and machine learning, to foster innovation within the organization.
· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure IAM best practices are integrated into all relevant IT projects and initiatives.
· Develop and uphold IAM policies, procedures, and standards that comply with industry regulations and best practices.
· Lead risk assessments and audits related to IAM, implementing necessary controls and remediation strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· IAM functions.
· IT support services.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director, VP, CIO).
· Extensive knowledge of Okta and IAG platforms, including their configuration, administration, and customization capabilities.
· Strong grasp of identity management principles, including authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
· Comprehensive understanding of IAM/IGA principles, protocols, and standards.
· Familiarity with federation standards for seamless authentication and SSO across applications.
· Detailed technical knowledge related to applications, servers, infrastructure, and networking technologies.
· Hands-on experience in identity and access management.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIAS, or CCSP are preferred.
