Position Overview

This role is a remote opportunity.

Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Identity and Access Management is tasked with the comprehensive strategic oversight and governance of the IAM initiative throughout the organization. This position leads the planning, execution, and operational management of the entire Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) team, along with its associated processes, frameworks, and technologies.

This is a full-time, exempt, remote role reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Compensation Range: $180,000 - $200,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

· Spearhead the planning, execution, and operational management of the IAM team, including processes, frameworks, and technologies.
· Formulate and execute a holistic IAM strategy that aligns with the business goals and security mandates of the organization.
· Serve as the primary expert on all IAM domains, encompassing identity governance and administration (IGA), access control, privileged access management, and identity verification for both internal and external platforms.
· Identify and implement enhancements to improve the performance (efficiency and productivity) of the IAM program, while minimizing costs.
· Acquire and manage essential resources to support all IAM functions, including leadership backing, financial resources, and key security personnel, to align with enterprise IT objectives and mitigate overall organizational risk.
· Lead and cultivate the IAM team, promoting a culture of innovation, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
· Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of IAM solutions across diverse platforms, including Active Directory, Windows, Mac, Linux, and mobile devices, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
· Ensure that the overarching IT strategy and architectural plans are effectively translated into IAM service programs, methodologies, and technologies that conform to leading IAM practices.
· Collaborate with business application owners, technical stakeholders, and architects to integrate IAM requirements and capabilities into both new and existing applications and platforms.
· Guarantee seamless integration of IAM solutions with the current IT infrastructure and applications.
· Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in IAM, including AI and machine learning applications, to foster innovation within the organization.
· Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that IAM best practices are embedded in all relevant IT projects and initiatives.
· Develop and uphold IAM policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
· Lead IAM-related risk assessments and audits, implementing necessary controls and remediation strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· IAM function.

Qualifications:

· 10+ years of comprehensive IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director, V.P., CIO).
· Extensive knowledge of Okta and IAG platforms, including their configuration, administration, and customization capabilities.
· Profound understanding of identity management principles, including authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), directory services (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
· Strong grasp of IAM/IGA principles, protocols, and standards.
· Familiarity with federation standards for seamless authentication and SSO across applications.
· Detailed technical expertise related to applications, servers, infrastructure, and networking technologies.
· Practical experience in identity and access management.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIAS, CCSP are preferred.
