Facilities Operations Manager

Cedar Creek of Washington, a dedicated healthcare organization committed to enhancing the lives of older adults, is looking for a proactive and career-focused individual to fill the role of Facilities Operations Manager.
In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents enjoy a safe and well-maintained living environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing and executing timely maintenance tasks, as well as ensuring that both the interior and exterior of the community, including the grounds, are kept to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all maintenance activities within the facility, including cleaning and upkeep of carpets, furniture, and windows.
- Manage outdoor maintenance, collaborating with landscaping contractors and waste management services.
- Assist in the development and documentation of preventative maintenance programs for both facilities and equipment.
- Supervise housekeeping staff as necessary to meet community needs.
- Prepare and refurbish apartments for new residents, including painting and flooring installation.
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and maintain emergency procedures.
- Conduct inspections of resident apartments to identify potential hazards and report findings for follow-up.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance while keeping quality assurance records updated.
- Perform janitorial duties and maintain equipment and building facilities.
- Supervise additional maintenance and housekeeping personnel as required.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or management team.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred or accredited training in maintenance.
- State licensure as required.
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
- Basic technical skills and mechanical aptitude for routine maintenance and repairs.
- Genuine passion for working with older adults.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Flexibility to work weekends and be on call after hours as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
