POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facility Operations Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for participants, members, and guests by performing a range of responsibilities tailored to daily needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure the availability of appropriate equipment for events and the proper arrangement of all activity areas.
  • Guarantee timely commencement of games and accurate scoring.
  • Supervise all activity zones, including fields and courts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and manage waste across all park and facility areas.
  • Oversee, maintain, and service restrooms throughout the facilities.
  • Communicate issues and relevant updates consistently to supervisors and team members.
  • Assist in coordinating all programming and related events.
  • Support other departments as needed.
  • Complete special projects, daily tasks, and additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Welcome guests and provide necessary information and directions.
  • Deliver courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff.
  • Be knowledgeable about pricing, leagues, and events.
  • Respond to incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations, completing and filing necessary documentation.
  • Understand and enforce facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Take on shift-lead responsibilities based on merit and experience.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the sports or recreation sector.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
  • Experience operating electronic scoreboards.
  • Background in coaching or mentoring athletes or youth.
  • Proven track record as a reliable team member.
  • Familiarity with hockey and figure skating.
  • Experience in customer service, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Action-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work with diverse age groups.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong guest service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Composure in challenging and stressful situations.
  • Respectful and friendly demeanor towards athletes, guests, and team members.
  • Valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Initiative for the betterment of the team and facility.
  • Commitment to the safety and well-being of others.
  • Interest in sports or willingness to learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds at waist height.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Facility may have intermittent noise levels.
  • Required to operate a computer.
  • Must be able to walk intermittently.
  • Ability to safely operate a utility vehicle.
